The night agreement: a laboratory

How to practise. 30 seconds to agree, 15 seconds for the three participants to write down the plan independently, then compare. The score is the percentage of matching decisions, not only the result of the kill.

Five situations in which the team checks how its night agreement works.

Simple statics

Situation. The don shows 7 → 4 → 1.

Conclusion. The three players must reproduce the sequence without words.

A target that left

Situation. The second target was already removed during the day.

Conclusion. A reserve agreed in advance is needed, or the team may fall out of sync.

The signal was not noticed

Situation. One partner understood the change of order, the other did not.

Conclusion. In case of uncertainty, the team must know whether it goes back to the statics.

A false signal

Situation. A civilian accidentally used a similar gesture.

Conclusion. Do not choose ambiguous everyday movements as team commands.

A false sheriff and partners

Situation. The don declared themselves the sheriff, and the partners did not know the line in advance.

Conclusion. The agreement must include the limits of allowed improvisation.
