How voting works
Why this matters. Voting is a mechanical procedure, and a mistake with your hand can cost the game.
What to do. Listen to the order of candidates from the referee. Vote only for a candidate who has been announced, and in the prescribed way. Do not lower your hand before the referee's signal. Do not campaign with gestures during the vote. If you do not understand the order, ask before the procedure starts, not in the middle of it.
How it sounds. "I plan to vote against number seven if the host announces their candidacy."
Practice. Rehearse a vote with two, three and one candidate; look separately at the leftover votes.
Typical mistakes. Voting for several candidates, changing hands, or peeking at neighbours instead of deciding.
