What to say when there is little information

Level 1. Beginner · 1 min readWork in progress

Why this matters. On the first day there is almost no reliable information. It helps to state the criterion you will use to judge what happens next.

What to do. Name one or two observations and be honest about the uncertainty. Ask for an answer to a question that can be checked. Do not invent a conflict just to look active.

How it sounds. "So far I have no confident black player. What matters more to me is why number six agreed with number four but nominated number eight. I ask for an explanation of the link."

Practice. Make three versions of a speech without an unfounded accusation.

Typical mistakes. Staying silent for the whole minute, or presenting intuition as fact.
