Complex shots and the self-shot

Why this matters. The black team sometimes chooses a non-obvious night target in order to change how events are interpreted.

What to do. Weigh the price of losing a black player, the likely reaction of the red team and the conclusion they will draw from the death. The self-shot is an expensive and rare move, not a basic recommendation.

How it sounds. "If our partner dies, the table may take their last word as reliable; but we lose a vote and risk losing on the numbers."

Practice. Compare two scenarios by the number of living players and the likely dynamics of the votes.

Typical mistakes. Using a trick for show, without a calculation.
